Bangla TV was launched in Europe on 16th September 1999 and since then broadcasting 24 hours a day. Bangla TV is not only pioneering Bangla language television channel, this was one of the first ethnic language TV channel in the UK. The government of Bangladesh recently awarded Broadcasting license to Bangla TV Limited to transmit from Bangladesh. From 19th may 2017 Bangla TV has started 24 hours satellite transmission using Satellite Apstar-7 at 76.50 E. Inaugural ceremony on 19th May 2017 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel at Dhaka was attended by Honorable Speaker of Bangladesh Dr. Shirin Sharmin Choudhury, Honorable Information Minister Mr. Hasanul Huq Inu, legendary Journalist and Columnist Mr. Abdul Gaffar Choudhury and a galaxy of Stars including Politicians, Business leaders, Media personalities, Performers, Singers and well-wishers.
